Watch out South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League, an Estevan Midget AA Apex Bruins whirlwind is moving through!

Balgonie felt the effects of that on their home ice on Saturday, when the Prairie Storm got shut down in a one sided game.

Three goals in the first period launched the visiting team into a 3-0 lead, while Estevan goaltender Bryson Garton kept things secure on the defensive side of the rink.

The second period saw another goal scored by the Black and Gold, while Balgonie still came up empty handed.

Then, the Bruins kicked on the afterburner again and netted an additional 3 pucks, bringing the score to 7-0 when the buzzer rang.

This was the second of three games over the weekend, the first being on Friday with a 6-1 win over the Lumsden/Bethune Lions.

Estevan is now in first place in the standings, with a record of 25-4-2.

They look to stretch their 7 game winning streak on January 29th, when they take on the Capitals at 6:45 PM in Regina.
