A pair of three-game quarterfinal series concluded Tuesday night in the Big 6 Hockey League playoffs.

The Carnduff Red Devils had a 3-2 comeback home win over the Bienfait Coalers, taking a 2-1 series decision.

Bienfait led 2-1 in the third before Carnduff struck with goals from Blake McMillen and Trevor Geiger.

Dan Moriarty also scored for the Red Devils.

Russell Purdy and Tayson Holt had Bienfait's goals.

Carnduff will face the reigning (from 2019) Yellow Grass Wheat Kings in the semis.


And the Moosomin Rangers are into the final four in their first year in the league.

They took a 6-2 home win in Game 3 of their quarterfinal series over the Carlyle Cougars on Tuesday.

Monty Driver and Jacob Pillar each had a pair of goals for the Rangers.

Justin Lamontagne and Jevon Schwean also scored for Moosomin, and Bud Holloway added three helpers.

Brett Turgeon and Rhett Palmer tallied for Carlyle.

Moosomin will take on the Redvers Rockets next. Dates for the semifinal games haven't been posted yet on the league site.
