Suspicious male going through yard; update on break-and-enters

The Estevan Police Service have a suspect in mind after receiving a call Thursday night of a suspicious male going through a yard in the Pleasantdale area.

EPS Const. Danielle Stephany said they have spoken with the person in question.

"It was good that we were able to locate this male," said Stephany. "We have a suspect. We'll still be investigating it."

Earlier this week, police reported multiple break-and-enters, thefts, and damages to property in the Hillside area from Monday night.

Stephany said Thursday night's call from the Pleasantdale area was the first they had regarding that kind of activity since being informed of Monday night's events.

Other calls from Thursday's night shift

The Estevan Police Service were notified around 6 p.m. that a woman who had been missing for nearly a week was found safe.

A 31-year-old woman from Estevan was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She was released with a court date set for November.

There was a report of an Estevan male breaching his release conditions. He was contacted, educated about his release order, and warned to not breach his conditions.

Police received a report of a male driver causing a disturbance at a construction site. Police found him, and their investigation showed that the dispute had to do with traffic around the site.

A second disturbance call came from the east end of the city. Police spoke with the person, and reported that the matter was resolved and mediated.

And police responded to a motion alarm at a business in the industrial area. The building was secure, and police believe strong winds could have caused the alarm.
