We had the opportunity to get a behind the scenes "Sneak Peek" of the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum's latest exhibit before it opens tonight. Artist Allison Norlen brings a whimsical collection of immersive oil pastels that wrap you up and transport you to another world. From towering Firework Throwers to mechanical Ferris Wheels, there is something genuinely haunting and magical about this new exhibition.

Allison told Sun 102 about her vision for "Eccentricity".

The gallery opens tonight at 7:00 pm, featuring an Artist Talk with Allison herself at 7:30 pm. Admission to the EAGM is always free, and there will be refreshments available.

Allison also explained an additional project she is undertaking next week, here in Estevan. "I'm going to build a piece on site, at the Estevan Fair Grounds, a sculpture. It's an ice cream cone made out of a very unusual material."

She adds that the ice cream cone sculpture will be 10-15 feet in length and that families will be able to observe her as she works.
