A significant drug bust highlighted a busy weekend for the Estevan Police Service. On the morning of Sunday, March 22, they searched a home and, with the help of their Police Service Dog, Max, they found a cache of drugs, cell phones, bladed weapons, and Canadian currency.

Police arrested two people. One, a 50-year-old woman from Flemming, Saskatchewan, they charged with a laundry list of offenses, including possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of property obtained by crime. She was also charged with failing to comply with conditions of a Release Order.

The other person arrested and charged was a 48-year-old man from Regina. He was hit with two charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and a prescription drug), possession of property obtained by crime, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Both the man and the woman will appear in court on Monday, March 23. They are presumed innocent.
