Though the sport of lacrosse has long been the national summer sport of Canada, it hasn't necessarily been as popular as other summer sports such as baseball and football.

However, in recent years the sport has been gorwing at a very high rate across the country and the same rings true for the city of Estevan. This year has proven to be a great success for players coming out of the program.

We talked to Misty Hall, Estevan Lacrosse, Board of Directors member about some of the recent Estevan players that have been doing well.

Bantam players, Nathan Wagstaff and Chase Foord both just recently entered into field lacrosse and have made the Regina Royals and will be heading to Minnnesota for a tournament.

Before they head there they will need to finish up at nationals in Coquitlam, BC.

The two Bantam players aren't the only ones from the Estevan area that are representing Saskatchewan at Nationals, Kaden Chrest is playing in the Midget divisoin and Carnduff product, Porter Crossman will be playing for the provincial PeeWee team.

Nationals wrap up on Saturday.
