The Estevan Legion is looking forward to what they're hoping is a better year for raising money.

In 2021, changing restrictions meant that plans weren't easily made, which included p[eople renting the Legion's hall for events.

That sent revenues down, though the Legion did still manage to support the community.

Now Legion President Frosty Forrest hopes that 2022 will be a better year, after a successful truck raffle.

"It went really well this year, actually. It was really successful." "We did well in the truck raffle so we'll be making some donations in the community like we used to."

Forrest says while many of their plans will depend on how the COVID situation plays out over the coming months, they still have an idea of what they might be doing in 2022.

"Everything's always up in the air. We'd like to see hall rentals again and so on. With the COVID thing that's still on hold, it's kind of difficult, we're just kinda treading water. I'm sure we'll be doing another truck raffle this year." "I'll suspect we'll do some takeout suppers, they were really popular."

Forrest says to expect some events from the Legion this year, no matter what comes their way.
