It's going to be cold tonight.

Environment Canada is reporting that temperatures could plunge to the minus 30 neighbourhood in some areas of southeast Saskatchewan.

A cold arctic ridge of high pressure is building from the Yukon and bringing with it light winds and extreme wind chills of minus 40 (or colder).

This system will develop overnight and persist into Friday morning.
