Those who love this time of year maybe would also enjoy camping at the Sask Parks. In fact, 13 of our provincial parks during the month of October are offering camping opportunities.

"We've found is that demand for camping past Labour Day has continued to grow each year," said Minh Truong Director of Park Experiences with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport.

"Because of this growing interest, we wanted to make sure that we could continue offer these enhancements to meet our campers needs."

He said campers can book online anytime to camp this month.

"They can actually get out and experience Sask Parks in way that they're probably not used to, which is camping in the fall," he commented.

"Fall is an exceptionally beautiful time to spend in provincial parks. It's quieter, it's more peaceful, less busy, and the fall foliage is absolutely breathtaking and the mild weather is perfect for outdoor activities."

Truong said while events have concluded for the fall, anyone can still head out to the provincial parks and take advantage of the hiking and biking trails.

"That said, our Sask Parks team is actually busy prepping for many exciting winter programs and activities that we've planned for this winter," he noted. "I encourage people to stay tuned to our Sask Parks Facebook page as more details come at a later date with our winter programming."

He said saskparks.com will point you in the right direction.

"It'll give you all the information you need before you decide to come to visit us at one of our beautiful provincial parks."
