The Estevan Family Resource Centre is looking back positively on 2021, after what was undoubtedly a hectic year for the organization.

Between changing regulations and unpredictable conditions, the centre still managed to serve its community rather well, according to Executive Director and Planning Coordinator Jennifer Dunne.

She says that while it wasn't exactly normal, 2021 was still a great year for them.

"It was a good year," said Dunne, "It started off a bit slow obviously because of the different covid variants and people were a bit cautious but by September we had a great fall season. We had so many people come to the centre and use our programs and use our centre, and I think it's so nice to have the place filled with children's laughter and stuff like that."

The centre is looking to change things up in 2022, starting with a move to a new location at the Estevan Comprehensive School.

"We are so excited, we're actually in the process right now of packing up and moving. We're moving up to our new location," said Dunne, "Which is actually in the high school. It's at entrance number ten, Is what I was told it's such a big building. It used to be where the Southeast College was."

Dunne says she hopes to have everything moved in and ready to go to begin their programs in just a couple of weeks.

"We are going to be up there moving this week and next week," said Dunne, "Then we're hoping to have our doors open on January 17th for all the public to come back in and see all our new facilities."
