Estevan's Tourism and Information Booth

 The Estevan Board of Trade, Tourism and Commerce were keeping an eye on who was visiting Estevan this summer.

At the tourist information booth, the TTC attempted to track down the number of people that stopped in the Energy City to pay a visit.

Marketing Coordinator Kevin D'Souza explains why they kept track of tourism stats.



One of the trends that the stats revealed was that Estevan saw tourist numbers increase at the end of June and in the beginning of July.

Also in the beginning of August, the number of tourists went up. There were 355 people who were recorded the tourist booth. Those 355 people represented a fraction of the people who visited Estevan in that time period.

At the information booth there is a map of Canada where you can tourists are encouraged to put a pin beside where they are coming from. D'Souza noted that they plan on adding a world map next year, since we are treated with international visitors.
