A recall has been issued for several brands of energy drinks, with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency stating that they break caffeine regulations.

The recall stated that "The affected products are being recalled from the marketplace due to various non-compliances related to the caffeine content and labelling requirements."

The affected brands include 3D Alphaland, 5-Hour Energy, Celsius, G-Fuel, and Prime.

Sting is also being recalled for not following packaging guidelines.

All flavours which contain caffeine and do not have bilingual labelling are being targeted by the recall.

Some of those cans seem to have come from the US, as they have caffeine in excess of Canada's regulations but below the US's.

The recall was triggered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s ongoing inspection, though there have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.

Adults are recommended a maximum of 400 milligrams of daily intake, with children and adolescents being 2.5 milligrams per kilogram.
