The Notre Dame Hounds kept their slim playoff hopes alive Thursday night with a 3-2 win over the Estevan Bruins.

Tied 1-1 after 40 minutes, Estevan found themselves two men short to start the third period. Notre Dame would go on to score consecutive goals on the power play, with Carson Baylis’s tally proving to be the game winner.

The Hounds pull to within five points of the Weyburn Red Wings for the final playoff spot in the SJHL.

Estevan hosts Notre Dame on Saturday night to complete the home-and-home series.
