The Toronto Blue Jays closed out their 10 game homestand yesterday losing in extra innings to Kansas City by a score of 4-3.

It was a pitching duel through 7 innings, the Jays Shawn Marcum went 7 innings allowing 6 hits and giving up 3 runs . He would end the game with a no decision.

The Royals ace and last years Cy Young Award winner Zach Greinke pitched a great game as well as he went 7 innings and he allowed 2 runs on 2 hits.

In the 10th inning Alex Gordon would hit a solo homerun off of Scott Downs to get the lead and the win.

Alex Gonzalez picked up a homer for the Jays his 5th on the season.

The Jays end the homestand going 4-6 and will now hit the road and take on the Tampa Bay Rays tomorrow night in a game you can catch on CJ1280 beginning at 5:00.
