The Saskatchewan Health Authority's weekly COVID-19 update contained favourable numbers for some major COVID-19 metrics.

Hospitalizations decreased from 410 on February 16 to 372 on February 23.

There were 37 deaths recorded during that week, compared to 42 the previous week.

And the test positivity rate for the most recent week of data (ending February 19) was 14.4 per cent. That's roughly a one-third drop from the 20.2 per cent recorded the previous week.

As of February 19, 85.5 per cent of the population five years or older have at least one dose of vaccine, and 80.1 per cent are fully vaccinated. About half of adults in Saskatchewan have at least one booster vaccination (50.4 per cent).
