Across the province, there have now been over 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered. In the daily update sent out Saturday afternoon, the provincial government reported an additional 1,624 doses, bringing the total in the province up to 100,195.

The news came at the same time there were 153 new cases of COVID-19 reported, along with 120 recoveries and one more death.

The one death connected to COVID-19 was reported in the 70-79 age group in the Saskatoon zone.

Of the 153 new cases, 64 were in Regina and 16 in Saskatoon. There were 14 new cases in the South Central zone, 13 in the Central East zone, nine in the Far North West, eight in the Far North East, seven in the North East, five in the Far North Central and South East zones, four in the North Central zone, two in the Far North West and one in the South West. There were five more cases pending residence information.

Across Saskatchewan, there are now 133 people in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19. Of those, 30 people are in intensive care.

The booking system used for vaccines is again being expanded starting Sunday morning, after the success with the expansion for those over the age of 76 on Saturday. Starting at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, those over the age of 72 will be able to book their appointments online or by phone.
