The Estevan Midget Lacrosse team will be in action in Regina tonight.

The midget team will be on the road in Regina against the Bandits tonight at 8:00. The team opened up their schedule last week suffering a loss to the Blue Devils 22-1.

This is the first season for the Midget team in the Queen City Boxed Lacrosse League.  Head Coach Evan Handley says that this move will pay off long term for the sport of lacrosse in Estevan. He says that the tougher competition will make the players in Estevan better. He notes that there is a lot more travelling with the team in the Queen City league but the sacrifice will pay off in the long run. He says that there may more home games added to their schedule.

The midgets will be home Sunday in a rematch against the Blue Devils at 2:00 at the Lignite Miners Center.

The Estevan Big Dogs of the Prairie Gold Lacrosse will be opening their schedule Saturday in Moose Jaw. They opened up at home next Sunday against the Prince Albert Predators.
