Normally Mondays are slow for the EPS, but last night they had to go on a bit of a chase to find impaired drivers.

Sergeant Bird said they had a little bit of excitement for a Monday night.

"We ended up getting a call about a possible impaired driver in a white BMW."

While they were out looking for the vehicle, they got another call about the same vehicle in a yard in the north end of the city resulting in them damaging property.

"Unfortunately they have fled the scene prior to us arriving. We went out and scoured the city and finally, we found them in the east side of the city."

Two males were taken into custody.

A 22-year-old Estevan male and a 21-year-old Ontario male were charged with impaired driving and fleeing the scene of an accident.

They will be in court later in August to answer the charges that have been laid.
