National Collection Week ends Saturday for this year's Operation Christmas Child Campaign, with over 200 boxes collected in Estevan so far.

According to Marg Dyck, one of the Coordinators of the local campaign, participants are asked to fill shoeboxes with various items such as toys, school supplies and hygiene products, before returning them to the Estevan Alliance Church.

The boxes are then sent to underprivileged children around the world, just in time for Christmas.

Last year, 1897 boxes were collected in Estevan alone.
