An Estevan man faces a pair of charges after allegedly stealing from a liquor establishment on Thursday.

Estevan Police Service Sgt. Evan Handley said video footage helped police quickly solve the crime.

"After the complaint came in, we were able to use surveillance from inside the bar to identify the male."

A 47-year-old man was arrested for theft under $5,000 and for failing to comply with his conditional sentence order.

Handley said the man was held in custody before appearing before a judge or justice of the peace on Friday morning. He was not named, as he had not yet made his first court appearance.
