The Estevan Bruins wrapped up their pre-season schedule with a thrilling come from behind overtime victory over arch-rival Weyburn Sunday afternoon.

The Bruins trailed for most of the game, but managed to overcome a pair of 2-goal deficits to ultimately win the game in overtime.

Dayton Deics, Keagon Little, and Nolan Jones scored for the Bruins in regulation, while Mark Rumsey scored the winner just 39 seconds into the extra frame.

"I think it's huge," said Rumsey, who finished the pre-season with 12 points in four games. "Taking two losses to these guys is not something we wanted to do, but we respect their game and they're a hard team to play against, but to come back and win tonight was huge. Going into Friday it's definitely big and we're just going to try to build off this."

Weyburn had beaten Estevan in two previous meetings in pre-season play.

The Bruins open up their regular season this Friday night at Affinity Place against the Yorkton Terriers.

You can catch the game on Rock 106 beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pre-game show. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
