With the summer coming to an end, the Minor Hockey season is about to begin in Estevan this season.

Estevan Minor Hockey held their fall AGM last night and there will be some changes to the teams in Estevan this season.

The Bantam and Peewee teams will take part in the Hockey Regina league this season. This will give those teams a chance to play against more teams. The Atom A league has also expanded with the addition of one more team.

There will also be changes to zoning regulations for AA teams all across the province. The zoning regulations this year will see players forced to play in their closest centre. It is yet known what impact this will have for the AA teams in Estevan this season.

The on ice action begins this week with body checking clinics for peewee players. The registration for minor hockey will go Thursday September 2.
