Tim Hortons has once again broken its record for donation money to the City of Estevan this year.

Specifically, they presented the city with a donation from funds raised by their smile cookie program.

That took place at Dennis Moore Centennial Park, with owners Ryan and Mandy Irwin in attendance with Mayor Roy Ludwig and City Manager Jeff Ward.

They donated $12,639 to the city, with $1 raised for each cookie sold.

In comparison, last year saw them donate $12,241, and 2020 saw $8,365 raised. Since the beginning of their program around 4 years ago, they've raised $41,548.

"We're always ready to do these, Estevan does a great job of supporting the community," said Ryan Irwin, "We'd just like to thank our team members and everyone for their hard work. This year the City of Estevan supplied some workers to help do some cookies, so that definitely helped."

This year the funds will be going toward the Tim Hortons Spray Park.
