The Warm Welcome Kitchen in Estevan was very happy to receive a 1000 dollar donation towards their cause today from Estevan's Legion.

The donation comes after the Kitchen was forced to close due to a lack of funding.

With the donation there will in fact be resumed meals at the Warm Welcome Centre beginning on Tuesday.

Coordinator of the group, Christa Jorgensen said she was very grateful for the donation.

"It's an amazing thing for them to do because it will help keep this going well into the end of our season."

Jorgensen also said that it takes upwards of $1400 to run the kitchen each month so this donation will help greatly.

Frosty Forrest is on the other side of things with the Legion and said they were very happy to make it happen.

"We saw that they were in need of funds so I took it up with our treasurer and some other people and we felt like it was a cause that we should support"

Forrest believes that the Warm Welcome Centre is important because there are many people struggling right now and that everyone deserves to eat.
