Saskatchewan Led Western Canada and ranked second among provinces in year-over-year wholesale trade growth according to Statistics Canada

Director of Strategic Planning and Performance, Bryan Dilling explained.

"Wholesale trade was up 17.3 percent in March 2019 compared to the same month last year which was the second highest percentage increase among the provinces. Nationally trade increased by 2.8 percent"

"Total wholesale trade in Saskatchewan for March was 2.45 billion dollars. The biggest gains were reported for machinery, equipment and supplies which were up 11.5 percent and miscellaneous merchant wholesale which was up 35.5 percent."

Despite the external headwinds that the economy is facing, Saskatchewan's sustained growth in wholesale trade shows our economy is on the right track.
