One of the 38 new cases of COVID-19 reported this afternoon by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is in the South East zone.

It is in South East Sub Zone 2, which includes Moosomin. There are two active cases in the sub zone.

Estevan's Sub Zone 4 also has a pair of active cases.

There were 33 recoveries and no new deaths. The COVID-19 death count actually fell by one, as the SHA determined a death they considered to be a COVID-19 is no longer in that category. The updated death total is 578 in the province.

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 17; Far North Central, 1; Far North East, 4; North West, 1; North Central, 3; Central East, 2; Regina, 9; and South East, 1.  Three cases that had their locations pending were assigned to the Far North Central, 1; and Regina, 2 zones.

Seventy-four per cent of those 12 or older have received their first dose and 62 per cent of those 12 -plus are fully vaccinated. There were 1,933 more vaccinations given in today's update.
