The Saskatchewan Health Authority reported 157 new cases of COVID-19 in the province on Sunday.

Six more deaths were announced in Saskatchewan, with two more residents dying that had been transferred to intensive care units outside of the province.

The average infection rate over the last week fell to 153, and there were 231 more recoveries. The update pegged Saskatchewan at 1,665 active cases.

That seven-day average for daily new cases was 194 a week prior, and was in the high 400s in late September.

There were 191 people reported in Saskatchewan hospitals, with 144 receiving inpatient care and 47 in ICUs. Eighteen people are out of province in ICUs.

There were four new cases in Estevan's South East Sub Zone 4, as its active count was listed at 59.

21 new cases were reported across the southeast. Its active count fell by 11 to 177.
