It was an interesting weekend for the ECS Elecs Senior Volleyball Teams on November 11-12, as it concluded with a bittersweet ending.

The Senior Boys fared well with the competition, making it in the playoffs on November 12th. They faced the Weyburn Eagles to determine who they will face in the finals. The team pulled through with all of they have, however, they were lacking on the first set. The second set was a little closer between the two teams, ending it with a score of 27-25 Weyburn. To finish off the night, they won against Balgonie Greenall to take the third spot in the Provincials. Swift Current won the Regional Finals, followed by the Weyburn Eagles and the ECS Elecs take the final spot.

Swift Current won the Regionals on November 12th, after a contest against the Weyburn Eagles.

"We will continue to work on, as we always stress, our serving and passing. That's a pretty good indicator of who's going to win the match. That's going to be our focus on continuing in to the Provincials," expressed Head Coach Nathan Johnson.

He predicts that Prince Albert-St. Mary's will be a tough opponent, followed by Swift Current. He stressed that after that, it's pretty wide open.

"It's a great group of kids. Chemistry has never been an issue. One thing that we had to battle through this season are injuries. The line-up that played on that bronze medal game wasn't the line up we weren't able to use all year," he concluded.

It was a bit of a tougher weekend for the Girls' team. In the Playoffs, they won against the Moose Jaw-Peacock after two sets.

"[The girls] came out and worked together as a team, putting out everything that they have been working on throughout the season," expressed Head Coach Nicole Sinclair.

However, they fell to the Weyburn Eagles at the semi-finals. Sinclair admits that the Eagles are always a challenge, but her team pulled out all of the stops. She added that this was one of the better match-ups they've had against the Highway 39 Rival.

In their bronze medal game against Swift Current, it was a closer match. On the first set, they trailed 27-25 against the opponent.

"Swift Current has been the top all season, so to be that close in a set with them was a huge highlight."
