A fixture in southeast Saskatchewan, visits to the Moosehead Inn were an integral part of the summer for those visiting Kenosee. Tragically, the building was consumed by a fire overnight. There were no reported injuries in the blaze. There is no word as to the cause at this time.

The Moosehead Inn was purchased by present owner Dale Orsted in 1990. Before that, the building was owned by Ethel and Archibald Grandison and was a dance hall for teens. The Moosehead was well known throughout the province, as a restaurant and a nightclub.
