The Estevan Brewers U18 AA baseball squad is on an impressive win streak to start the season, having won their first 10 games of the season.

Brewers Head Coach Ryan Siever attributes some of that success to having a veteran group this season, with eight graduating third-year players.

"We've got a lot of experienced players on this team," Siever said. "We've got a lot of guys that I've coached for a long time and I look towards them for their leadership."

"At the start of the year, we put our goals down as a team and really try to stay focused on that from game to game. We talk about it fairly often, about staying focused and not taking any team lightly because there's a lot of good ball teams in this province."

Siever added that he thinks this year's group is very capable of winning a provincial championship.

The Brewers play four more games this weekend in Estevan, including a double header against the Saskatoon Blue Jays on Saturday and a double header with the Muenster Red Sox on Sunday.
