As the United Way telethon is just one day away, we're chatting with some of the organizations that are being helped out by the charitable event.

The Estevan Family Resources Centre is an organization focused on helping out developing children and their families, with a wide variety of programs for kids up to the age of 5.

That can include classes with parents and babies, themed days such as thanksgiving, and a whole bunch of other fun programs for children.

Program Director Sydney Wanner says that the money they get from charitable events helps out greatly.

"All the programs we run here at the center are completely free. All those programs that we run during the week are free and then we just bring in a lot of third-party speakers and informative classes for parents and families as well."

"All of that helps us to remain zero costs for all of our families and kids that come visit us."

"We are just so grateful for all their help. The more funding we get, the more families we can help, and that's amazing for us."

She invites any community members with children to drop by for their usual drop-in program.

"Come in anytime between 9 and 4, that's our Drop and Play and we'd love to have anyone who'd like to come in and hang out with us."
