Last week, Estevan Fire and Rescue (EFR) tackled a variety of situations, from routine fire alarms to storm-related calls.

On June 17, at 3:10 p.m., EFR attended a residential fire alarm in the north end of the city. Crews responded and determined that it was a cooking-related alarm. They stood down and returned to the station.

On June 18, at 6:30 a.m., EFR responded to a call in the south end of the city. Crews determined that no fire was occurring. An issue with the HVAC system may have caused smoke inside the structure.

On June 21, crews visited Spruce Ridge School in the afternoon for the annual year-end spray down. The following day, a crew attended the races at Estevan Motor Speedway.

From Sunday night into Monday morning, crews responded to several calls regarding the storms in the area. These included four separate incidents involving downed power lines, fallen trees, and debris damage. No injuries were reported.
