Over the weekend the Estevan Mermaids were in Saskatoon for the annual Invitational Figure and Routine Meet

Brenda Wakely the communications coordinator said the Annual Invitational Figure and Routine Meet is named in honour of Diane Lemon.

"Diane was very active in all roles of the sport of artistic swimming including - a swimmer, coach, judge, administrator, and a parent of an artistic swimmer. We celebrate her legacy to the sport at this meet. She was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 1996."

14 athletes attended the meet. 

The 11/12 Provincial Stream Competitive Team: Sarah Greening, Kasia Harding, Chloe Mantei, Sierra Mantei, Elle Meyers, Sarah Pyra, Rowyn Shier, Nevaeh Wakely

13-15 Provincial Stream Competitive Team: Emily Greening, Sienna Kuntz, Sasha Mantei, Bella Michael

16-20 Provincial Stream Individual: Rebecca Duncan

"Saturday our athletes performed their figures for the judges. Solo routines were also swam on Saturday. Team routines were swam on Sunday. Marks for each routine include a score in execution, artistic impression, and difficulty. Championship scores are a combined routine & figure score."

Erin McIsaac placed 4th in 11/12 Novice Figures and Rebecca placed 4th in 16-20 PS Figures.

11/12 soloist Sierra Mantei got 5th in Routine and 4th in Championship.

11/12 soloist Kasia Harding got 4th in Routine and 6th in Championship

11/12 soloist Sarah Pyra placed 6th in Routine and 5th in Championship.

13/15 soloist Sasha Mantei placed 6th in both Routine and Championship

16/20 soloist Rebecca Duncan placed 4th in Routine and 3rd in Championship.

The 11/12 Competitive Team Championship finished 6th.

The 13/15 Competitive Team Championship finished 7th.
