Both home teams picked up wins in the SJHL last night.  The Humboldt Broncos defeated the Notre Dame Hounds 2-1 in a shootout and the Kindersley Klippers were 6-2 winners over the Nipawin Hawks.

The Klippers jumped out with four goals in the first period and cruised to the victory, led by Johnny Calkins, who picked up four points, 1 goal and 3 assists.

Over in Humboldt, Greg Ferguson got the lone regulation goal for the Broncos.  Notre Dame tied it back up with three minutes left in regulation.  With no goals in overtime, the fans were treated to a shootout.  Ferguson went first for the Broncos and got the only goal in the shootout.

It's a rather quiet night in the SJHL tonight with just one game, but it is the Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins on the road taking on the Battlefords North Stars at 7:30.
