It will be a battle of the birds tonight at the Rogers Centre. The Toronto Blue Jays will kick off a 3 game series with the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals enjoy a slight lead in the National League's Central, as they lead the Cinncinati Reds by 1 game. The Cards are lead by Albert Pujols who has 15 home runs and 50 RBIs.

The Jays are fresh from taking 2 games from the San Francisco Giants and will hand the ball tonight to lefty Brett Cecil. In his last start Cecil had his 5 game winning streak snapped. He is currently 7-3 on the season.

Toronto will also have a new look at 3rd base today, as the team designated Edwin Encarncion for assignment. Jose Bautista is one possibility to start at 3rd for the Jays.
