Kipling - Integrated Health Facility
Patients Moved Into The Integrated Health Centre In The Fall Of 2014.

It's been about 6 months since patients moved into the brand new Integrated Health Facility in Kipling.

The building combines both long-term and acute care, which helps the town recruit new doctors, keep existing staff, and provides the best available care to the residents.

"It's a fantastic facility," says Duane Leicht, Mayor of Kipling. "It's something that has been needed in the community for quite a while as our existing hospital was nearing the end of it's life."

"And with a brand-new facility, we're hoping it's going to ease the problem that every small problem has: recruiting and keeping doctors."

The town is overjoyed to have a modern and updated facility for it's seniors. Mayor Leicht says they've even had former residents move back because of the new building.

"After this facility opened there was a couple, who were residents of Kipling but had been living in a long-term care facility elsewhere, they were able to come home," explains Leicht.

"Which is fantastic for friends and family because now, they're back in Kipling. They're back home."

The facility features 30 beds for long-term living and 12 beds for acute care patients. The equipment and utilities are new and updated, making life easier not only on patients, but the staff as well.
