Mounties will be on hand all hours of the day in the western-Saskatchewan village of Richmound as a group known as the Kingdom of Canada continues to occupy an abandoned school.

Saskatchewan RCMP said Thursday evening that they are deploying a mobile unit to the community.

“The safety and security of the communities we police is our top priority,” said C/Supt. Tyler Bates, commander of Saskatchewan RCMP’s South District. “We are aware of the presence of a group, sometimes referred to as the Kingdom of Canada, in Richmound, SK. We’ve received a number of calls for service related to this group’s presence in the community over the past two weeks or so. Today, we will be bringing a mobile temporary RCMP detachment to Richmound, which will be staffed 24/7and will allow our officers to quickly respond to any potential calls for service in the area. We will also be conducting regular patrols in the community.”

The RCMP said they have received calls of threats, suspicious people, and a report of an assault. All are being investigated, but police cannot share more details yet.

The group allegedly sent threats to the village, including the follow text:

”"Be well assured that failure to Cease and Desiste, IMMEDIATELY, from your Rothchild/CCP based communistic, unfair, demoralizing and immoral activities and behaviours while "serving WTP [We the People]" and "before the WTP" under present Natural Law WILL surely bring forth judgement upon yourselves and if found guilty of "Crimes Against Humanity" or "Treason" you WILL face publicly broadcast executions upon yourselves, and underserved devastation upon your children, grandchildren and families."

Police will advise residents if there is an imminent risk of public safety.
