The Suncity Prop-busters set up a variety of planes, cars, trucks, jets, and more on Saturday at the Estevan Mall. There were over 40 displays set out, along with a flight simulator where you could try your hand at flying. They had members from different clubs such as Weyburn make their way to Estevan to add pieces in the show. Along with members who have been calling this their hobby since the '70s.

Art Doughertey President of the Estevan Suncity Prop-busters shares what they were doing to kick off their season, "We bring everybody's airplanes here, for a kind of like a show and tell to indicate what we built over the winter. We show everyone the kinds of projects we've done and scrutinized everyone else's, but its a lot of fun and we enjoy doing this every year."

The public showed up in droves, and with regards to potential new members, Doughertey states, "There is sometimes, but we fly every Tuesday night weather permitting and Sunday afternoons. So any of the public that wants to come out and watch us fly, or get interested in the sport. They are more than welcome we will help them get started." The Propbusters season has officially started and will go all the way into October. Doughertey goes on to share, "There is the bi-plane, there are different ones, cars, and trucks we have. RC truck and cars racing, we have planes that will fly fast and some that will fly slow."

"The other factor I should mention with the drones, now there is the license for them coming out June 1st. You have to have a license from the Federal government, and if you join our club you can fly your drones at our field because its sanctioned by MAAC (Model Aeronautics Association of Canada) and we have insurance. There is a place to fly if you join our club and take the insurance."
