TaeKwon-Do is a Korean martial art that was founded in 1955 by General Choi Hong Hi. "Tae" means kicking or striking with the feet, "Kwon" means punching or striking with the hands and "Do" means the art or way of.

Estevan is host to their very own TaeKwon-Do Association which includes over 70 members between the ages of six and fifty.

As Senior Instructor Don Decheif explains, this weekend those members are busy preparing for testing.

Dechief also added that they will be kept busy with tournaments and seminars right into spring.

The association in Estevan holds two semesters each year with approximately 32 classes each semester.
