UPDATE: Three days of upgrades will leave Estevan street closed

UPDATE: The city recently announced that the 500 block of 2nd street will be closed tonight.

A section of street is set to be closed for the next three days, with sidewalk access changing as that work progresses.

The 500 block of 2nd street will be closed for sewer upgrades on Tuesday, with no north sidewalk traffic allowed.

Then on Wednesday that stretch of road will remain closed while the south sidewalk will be closed for pedestrian traffic.

Finally, on Thursday, the road will still be closed and the north sidewalk will again be inaccessible to pedestrians.

The current plan from the city is that these roads will open nightly, though that could change.

The City of Estevan thanked the public for their patience.
