Fans of the Toronto Blue Jays, for the most part, watched the beginning of the season with their faces in their palms.

Now, however, those same said faces are gazing with intent fascination on one of the largest comebacks staged by the team.

Coming off a day's rest on Monday, May 22nd with a 20-26 record, the boys in blue took on the Milwaukee Brewers for a two game set, sweeping it with scores of 4-3 and 8-4.

After taking another break, they welcomed the Texas Rangers to Rogers Center for three games. They had decent success against the American team, winning two of the three 7-6 and 3-1, but reversing the second score, and giving a 3-1 win to their opponents.

The Cincinnati Reds then came for a visit, only to be used as floor mop as the Jays took the three game set 17-2, 6-4 and 5-4.

As the last team filed out of the stadium, the New York Yankees entered. This time around, however, the contest proved to be a heated one. The two teams ended up splitting the four game series, as the visitors took the first with 12-2 victory and the home team nabbing the second at 7-5. The Yankees then shut their opponents out 7-0, before falling 3-2 to the Jays.

Hitting the road again, they headed to Oakland, where they suffered another series loss. The Athletics came out on top in the first two of the three games, with scores of 5-3 and 4-1, while Toronto was able to salvage the third 7-5.

Now with a record of 29-31, the Jays are near the .500 mark and a wildcard playoff spot, a move that no one could have guessed at the beginning of the season. Whether or not they manage to completely recover from a dark start and potentially place themselves in the history books, time will tell how far the unanticipated comeback will take them.
