It sure didn't take long for a trio of teams in the Saskota Baseball League to get their offense rolling.

On Tuesday during opening night, all ten teams in the league took to the diamonds in south east Saskatchewan with a wide variety of results on the scoreboard.

Recap for Tuesday, May 15

Starting the season on the road, the Estevan Tower Wolves picked up where they left off last season with a 7-2 win over the Redvers A's. The Wolves will look to defend their title in 2018 as Harbourne Memorial Champions.

After a tough first season in the league last year, the Southeast Fireballs took one on the chin as they opened the season at home with a 20-4 loss to the Arcola Threshers.

Expected to have a strong team this year, the Oxbow Chiefs hit the ground running on the road, storming out of the gate in game one to a 22-2 win over the Kenosee Cubs.

Things didn't go as planned for the Kipling Royals in their first game in the league, losing 14-1 to the Windthorst Pirates at home.

And It was neck and neck in Carnduff as the Astros hosted the Carlyle Cardinals. The two ball clubs walked away from opening night with a 1-1 tie after it was all said and done.

Tee-up for Thursday, May 17

The Oxbow Chiefs host the Redvers A's looking to add to the win column for the second straight game, with the first pitch at 6:30.

The Carlyle Cardinals will return home to host the Southeast Fireballs as the two clubs look for their first wins of the season starting at 6:30.

In the final game of the night, the Estevan Tower Wolves will host the Arcola Threshers. Both teams will look to stay undefeated when they clash at 7:00 in Estevan.
