Jays Losing Pitcher Marc Rzepcynski

The Toronto Blue Jays series with the Detroit Tigers ended the way it started, a lop sided win for the Tigers, as they crushed the Blue Jays 10-4.

It was not the start that Marc Rzepcynski was looking for, as he is auditioning to be included in the Jays rotation for next season. He lasted 5.2 innings and gave up 5 hits and 4 runs. Jesse Carlson and Brian Tallet came on in relief, and both would surrender 3 runs each.

The Blue Jays offense would be thanks to the long ball, John McDonald would hit a solo shot in the 6th inning and then Adam Lind would nail a 3 run homer in the 9th.

Ryan Raburn would hit 2 homeruns and add 4 RBIs for the Tigers, while Rick Parcello would go 7 innings and only give up 3 hits and get the win.

The Jays now move on to a series with the Tampa Bay Rays. You can catch tonights game on CJ1280 beginning at 5:00.
