Dozens of people enjoyed the outdoors Sunday raising awareness and a five-figure dollar total for a cause.

The Estevan Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History surpassed its goal of $10,000, and sits at $12,107 as of Monday morning.

The event coordinator for the Estevan walk, Kasey McIntyre, said that total is expected to continue climbing.

There were 44 registered participants for the day, which was based at Rotary Hall in Woodlawn Regional Park.

"I would like to say Thank you Estevan, on behalf of the Estevan CF Walk Committee for another successful year," said McIntyre.
